This is my blog diary of my new cat- Pumpkin.
I'll give you a brief on her life so far:
Pumpkin came on Halloween night, miaowing at the door. We let her in, and it seemed a friendly little cat. She would leap onto our knees and demand attention. Surely she belonged to someone else. We asked our next door neighbors if they had recently gotten a cat, and no. (You see, we live on the outskirts of a little village) so they gave us some food; of which she ate ravenously. We prepared somewhere for her to sleep- and let her out to go to the toilet.
Maybe that night she decided to go hunting or not, but she didn't come back, and we were prepared to give her up as gone back her family.
But two days later she appeared at breakfast time- so we fed her again- she was so boney and thin. And ever since she has been coming back- being let out when people left the house and at night.

We took her to the Vet's yesterday- to get her checked for micro-chipping, gender, status etc. She didn't take kindly to the car so I spent most of the journey comforting her. It wasn't the box she didn't like- it was the car! Her face would pop out through the mesh holes and she would paw me as if to say- Let me out! I really don't like it here...

So the vet told us she was a girl, and possibly had a kitten several weeks ago. The saddest bit is that a customer brought a kitten in that looked like her- and the kitten had been attacked by a dog. The vet took it home, but unfortunately it died later on. This would have been two weeks ago.

Pumpkin is not micro chipped. There is a slight possibility that she could be pregnant but we have to wait four weeks for the vet to check her out- standard procedure for a neutering process.

So it would now seem I have a cat, and I'll update you on her progress as the days go by. Please subscribe to our RSS feed- as I'll try and get some photos on.
If you have any ideas for toys for Pumpkin- please post them as your comments.
Thanks, Bye!
